Oracle AWS AMIs

There are two locations for the Oracle AMIs:
https://aws.amazon.com/amis?ami_provider_id=4&selection=ami_provider_id  (These are based on OEL 5.4 and 5.2 if those work for client)

http://aws.amazon.com/oracle/ - Scroll to the bottom and you will see the OEL 5.9 and 6.4 AMIs.  The customer could then build out an Oracle DB, WebLogic or Application on top of these AMIS

AWS AMI manifest and content

There are no formal documents that I’m aware of that explain how the images are structured. The details are really self-evident from the existing tools which don’t really obfuscate any of the details.  The details are in the code is in the ec2-bundle-image CLI (90% Ruby and 10% BASH) which actually builds the AMI and manifest file.
